A pocket sized drafting/drawing set.
A pocket sized set of drafting/drawing instruments still in their gray shagreen (shark
skin) case.
The case has nine individual compartments. The case has a working hinge and push lock and velvet
lining. The instruments are
all constructed of brass with the exception of a ruler made of ivory marked on both sides with various scales or measurements,
and the divider points which appear to be of steel or iron. The set is missing some of its
instruments. There would have been a
brass protractor and a parallel rule in the original set I believe. For its age, the case is in beautiful condition.
This is a rare set of early specialty tools.
A signed ivory sector rule.
A virtually perfect 12" (two
6" legs) ivory sector, signed 'Scott London'. The markings are very sharp (although the images
don't show them well), both locating pins, a good tight hinge and no warping, cracking, or
chipping. There is no difference in color between the 2 sides of the rule, the lighter image
being a better representation of the actual color.
