This turn-of-the-century
demonstration apparatus was used in a university laboratory. The copper frame holding the needle
and magnet on a steel pillar can be revolved in any direction. All original and in good condition.

Brass Thermopile On Table Stand.
Late 19th century English demonstration
thermopile by Philip Harris. Made of polished lacquered brass and standing 9
1/4" tall (min) on its fully adjustable brass table stand. The stand is
painted black and the brass cone shows some pitting.

Light Experiment Apparatus.
This instrument was used in a university
laboratory to demonstrate some of the properties of light. It was used in a
European university and still has the old inventory number. The back mirror is
stationary and the other moves in an arc measured by the front brass scale. A
candle was used in the light reflection experiments. The base is made of walnut
and everything is in good condition.
